Ginger Filling

1 Cup Golden Syrup
1 tspn. Ground Ginger
1 Heaped tblspns. Cornflour
1 tblspn. Butter
2 Cups Water
4 oz. Chopped Crystallised Ginger
Boil 2 cups water and 1 cup golden syrup and 1 tspn. Ground ginger. Mix 1 heaped tblspns. Cornflour with a little cold water and add to boiling syrup, stirring all the time. Remove from stove and add 1 tblspn. Butter and 4 oz. Chopped crystallised ginger.
