Peach Fool
Ingredients
1-1/2 lbs. Plums
Rind of 1/2 Lemon
4 tblspns. Cornflour
2 Cloves
Vanilla
1 tblspn. Butter
1-1/2 Pints Cold Water
Sugar to Taste

Method
Boil the fruit with water, spices and sugar to taste. Put through a sieve and return to heat. Thicken with cornflour first blended with water, cooking gently for 7 minutes to cook the flour. Blend in butter and pour into wet mould. When set, unmould and serve with cream or custard.
