Quaker Pudding

3 Cups Coarse Bredcrumbs
1 Cup Milk
1/2 Cup Melted Butter
1/2 Cup Chopped Raisins
1/2 Cup Syrup or treacle
1/4 Cup Chopped Peel
1 Cup Sifted Flour
1/2 tspn. Salt
2 tspn. Cinnamon
1/2 tspn Bi-Carb.
1/4 tspn. Each: Cloves
Dash Nutmeg.
Mix crumbs and milk well and add melted butter and the syrup.Sift the dry ingredients and add them. Pour the mixture into a well greased 1 quart mould and steam for 2-3 hours. Serve with creamy sauce.
