Steamed Chocolate-Fruit Pudding
Ingredients
2 dssrtspns. Cocoa
1 Rounded tspn. Baking Powder
2 dssrtspns. Golden Syrup
1 Cup Boiling Water
1/2 Cup Chopped Dates or Raisins
8 oz. Flour
4 oz. Butter
1/4 Cup Sugar
Milk to Mix
Pinch Salt.

Method
Mix fruit into dry ingredients and rub in 2 oz. Of butter.Mix to a soft dough with milk. Put the dough into a greased pudding basin and pour over the boiling water mixed with the golden syrup, sugar and 2 oz. Butter. Steam for half an hour.
