Baked Bananas

6 Bananas
2 oz. Brown Sugar
2 tblspns. Lemon Juice
2 tblspns. Melt. Butter
Peel the bananas, cut them in half lengthwise and put them in a fireproof dish. Brush well with butter, sprinkle with sugar and lemon juice and bake slowly for about 20 minutes, basting occasionally.
Instead of sugar, maple syrup, or molasses, can be used.
