Crispy Apple Pie

4 oz. Breakfast Oats
2 oz. Very Dark Sugar
1/2 tspn. Cinnamon
3 tblspns. Butter
Pinch Powdered Cloves
3 tblspns. Jam
1 Pint Sweetened Apple Puree
Melt the butter and mix with oats and brown sugar. Spread over a baking sheet and toast in a moderate oven for 10 minutes, stirring with a fork a few times during cooking. Allow to cool. Grease a shallow oven dish, and place the jam at the bottom; then add the apple puree. Crumb the topping with a fork and sprinkle over the apple> Bake in a slow oven for 25 minutes.
