Condensed Milk Rusks

Ingredients
3 lbs. Flour
2 Compressed Yeast Cakes
1 Cup Lukewarm Water
6 tblspns melted Butter
1 dssrtspn. Salt
1/2 tspn Grated Nutmeg
1 Tin Sweetened Condensed Milk
Lukewarm Water for Kneading
Method
Cream the yeast cake with 1 tbspn. Sugar and stir into the lukewarm water. Beat this into condensed milk and mix into the dry ingredients, mixed well togeather, adding enough more lukewarm water to make a kneadable dough. Knead in the melted butter and knead very well. Cover and leave in a warm place to rise untill doubled in bulk. Then knead in down lightly and shape into buns. Place these together in greased bread tins, so that the tins are half full. Leave covered in a warm place till the tins are quite full. Bake in hot oven (400 degree F) for 1 - 1 1/4 Hrs. Cool. Break the buns and dry out in a cool oven.
