Butternut Balls

1/2 lb. Butter
1 pinch Salt
3/4 cup Icing sugar
2 tspns Vanilla
2 1/2 cups Flour
Cream butter and sugar and blend in rest of ingredients. Chill dough. Shape into balls and bury a pecan nut, or a cherry, inside the ball. Place on ungreased baking tin and bake at 425 degree F for 10 minutes.
